Why Twitter?

Hey All,

I know that it’s been a while since I last posted so I wanted to get something up here. To that end, I was wondering what I could talk about that would be influential and informative. The logical conclusion of course was Twitter, that mysterious piece of social communication software that everyone is talking about. In this post I will simply outline what twitter is, what it does, and why you would use it. So, without further ado lets get into the topic of Twitter.

Three Great Sources of Free legal Music

I love music, especially free music. So I Thought why not post about the places that I rely on to get free music legally. I was going to give the post a title like “Top 10 sources for wickedly awesome music” but then I realized that I really don’t use that many web sites and the words “wickedly awesome” doesn’t exactly describe the topic. Then I was going to call it “Top 5 Sources of Free legal Music” but I didn’t have five readily at hand and I wanted to post this as soon as possible. So decided to cover “Three Great Sources of Free legal Music”. Anyway, all of the websites that I am going to post are legitimate sources for music and i have either tried them or plan on trying them soon. So enough of the chitchat lets get on to the real reason of this post.

Open Source Alternatives to Commercial Programs Part 2

Hey all,
once again I’m sorry that it’s taken me so long to post. The program that I wanted to cover today is VLC. VLC is a basically a universal media player so if you can’t play a file using Quicktime or Windows Media Player you can probably play it with this software. Open Source Alternatives to Commercial Programs Part 1

Hey All,

Sorry that it’s taken so long to post but i have to do my school work. Anyway, I was thinking and realized that there are a lot of real neat Programs out there that you may want that cost a lot of money and for this reason can’t afford. There are probably also programs that you are using that are not as effective as some of the free alternatives that are out there. So my intention is to write a series of posts that explore some of the free alternatives out there and what exactly they do. Hopefully it will all be an informative and interesting experience.

Neat way to create your own font

Hey everyone,

I know it’s been a while since I posted last. I was busy working on homework and other things. So I finally found time to post. I recently found this interesting website called Free Fonts Generator. It basically allows anyone to make their own font as long as they have access to a printer and a scanner. I tried it earlier today and quickly had a font in my handwriting that I can use on any program that supports True Type fonts. It all works out easily with step by step instructions on the website how to create the font. I should note that there is a limit to how many people can be creating their fonts at once so their may be a delay during which you have to wait to create your font. I hope you found this helpful and check it out.

God Bless,
Josh
