Missional Living Series Animations

Here are a group of four videos that I made in After Effects for a series that my church had called Missional Living. I created one a week and the videos served as a bumper for the message. The voice-over was done by my good friend Caleb (http://calebgulliver.com/). The music was ”Only Instrumental” by Broke For Free (brokeforfree.com/).

Advance Series Graphic

I was looking through some of the old series graphics that I made and realized that I never uploaded this one. It was created for a series called Advance and was fun to create. The words and the flag were created in adobe illustrator.  It was then taken into photoshop and layered to get the effect that you see now. If I remember correctly the brick texture came from a MediaMilitia texture pack. They have a lot of great freebees if you check out their site at mediamilitia.com.

Countdown video we made for the “A City For The City” series at my Church.

Recent Series Graphics Simply James

We are currently doing a series on the book of James titled Simply James. I really wanted to post the work that we have done for this series so that people would have access to it. The series graphics that we created were different for each week which was a nice change up from the usual single image for a series. We utilized the helvetica font because of it’s minimal look that allowed us to keep a consistant feel with the rest of the artwork. I do not currently have all of the images ready for showing online since the series is not yet over but I am planning on posting them when the series is completed. In the meantime you can check out the videos that we made for the series and download them from the vimeo page.

The Panel Graphic

Here is a graphic that I created for an ongoing series called the Panel. The image will be used from time to time throughout the year as we break from the normal Sunday setup and instead discuss issues as groups. The image has a simple and energetic feel to it. I was originally going to use this image for the Heaven and Hell series but realized that the feel wasn’t working for the content that I was trying to put across. The chance to put it to use for this series was nice since it was not a bad in and of itself. I also created a countdown timer that matches the feel that you get in the above graphic which you can see after the jump.

How 2 Series Background

This series background was one of my favorite to make because I made it without the use of any images. It is made up of some scripture that I grabbed from Leviticus. It was used for a short series for our youth group where we were discussing Christian living. I hope to make other series backgrounds with this same minimalist feel in the future.

Heaven and Hell Graphics

These are the graphics for the two part heaven and hell series that we are finishing up this week. The goal with the graphics was to create a visual difference between the heaven and hell sections of the slide. This series marks the first time that We have created an entirely separate set of backgrounds for each of the messages (as referenced in the pictures located after the jump). This series was also the first that I designed in community with my friend Caleb. The additional input into the creative process was great since there was always someone else to bounce ideas off of and to help see what was and wasn’t working in the design. We didn’t create a intro video or countdown for this series since it was so short and there was not much notice that his was going to be the topic we were going to be covering.

Jesus Series Graphics

We recently finished a series on who Jesus is. I made The image you see above by creating a mosaic out of hundreds of pictures of Jesus which I than overlaid The title of the Series. The bumper video for the series and the countdown are located after the jump and are available for download from their Vimeo pages. Photoshop files for the series will be posted soon.
